Make-a-Wish
Chi Omega loves Make-A-Wish!
The Make-A-Wish foundation is a nonprofit organization that grants life changing wishes to children with critical illnesses. A wish for these children can be a crucial turning point in their lives and give them the spark that gives them the strength to go on. Make-A-Wish is in the heartbeat of everything Chi Omega does!
Meet our Make-A-Wish chair, Kendall!
Hi, my name is Kendall Martin, and I have the privilege of serving as the Wish Chair for Iota Kappa. To me, Make-A-Wish is more than just our philanthropy—it’s an organization that holds a special place in my heart. For many, Make-A-Wish means the world. Imagine being a child facing a serious illness and suddenly having the opportunity to see a dream come true—whether it’s meeting a hero, traveling somewhere incredible, or even becoming a superhero for a day. These wishes bring joy, hope, and a sense of normalcy during difficult times. It’s not just about the wish itself; it’s about the lasting impact it has, lifting the spirits of both the child and their family.
I recently had the chance to put together my first Make-A-Wish event, and it was truly life-changing. I witnessed a little girl completely immersed in joy, momentarily forgetting about her illness and simply having fun—perhaps for the first time in a long time. That experience reinforced just how powerful and meaningful these wishes really are.
